We had a wonderful time celebrating Day of the Dead at Fat Village Art Studios in Ft. Lauderdale. I was so excited to participate in the Ofrendas art exhibit curated by Luis Angel Rodriguez.

Several amazing artists participated with Altar art pieces, celebrating different topics relating to life and Death. Participants included: Puppet Network/Jim Hammond, Luis Angel Rodriguez, Gina Moon, Brandi Carney, Claudia Sinta and Virginia Shuman Young Elementary School, NikAngel, Jade Masters, Mike & wife representing Nova High School, Raymond Hernandez, Rosalia Curbelo, Lisa Basini, Anonymous, Kristyn Bat, Wayne Rodgers, Anonymous.

My Altar was inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Her Mother Gladys Pearl Monroe was born on May 27, 1902, in Porfirio Diaz, Mexico, now Piedras Negras. Hollywood often kept the ethnicity of rising new stars a secret.
